Personal watercraft trailers: what to check before you launch
Straps, bunks, bearings and lights — a five-minute check that prevents most launch-day problems.
Most launch-day headaches come from the trailer, not the watercraft. A quick walk-around before you leave the driveway catches nearly all of them.
- Bow strap and stern tie-downs: no fraying, buckles that release smoothly.
- Bunks: carpet intact, no exposed screws that could scratch the hull.
- Wheel bearings: grease them if they have been submerged often.
- Lights and plug: test before every trip.
If you buy a watercraft from us, ask about a matched trailer; we set up the bunks for your hull at delivery.
